Umbrella Sponsorships

Fiscal Sponsorship Program (FSP)

The Anchorage Cultural Council (ACC) is a non-profit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code devoted to promoting advancement of the arts and culture in the community. ACC does not itself make or offer grants to artists or cultural organizations. For a modest fee ACC will however act as a fiscal sponsor to assist arts and cultural projects in obtaining necessary funding through the Fiscal Sponsorship Program (FSP). The FSP is open to all individuals and organizations of the Anchorage community pursuing arts/cultural projects.

FSP Process

The first step is for the artist/organization to identify one or more funding sources for the project. Each potential grantor will have its own set of grant requirements and procedures. If the potential grantor requires that its funds be administered to the grantee only through a 501(c)(3) organization, then it is possible that the FSP can help and the artist/organization should contact ACC for more information. If it appears that FSP would be able to offer assistance in obtaining the grant or other funding then the next step is to submit an FSP application.

Applications and forms are available on-line from ACC on the website or by fax or mail on request. Applications are considered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once an application is received and checked for compliance with the FSP requirements it will be submitted to the Board of Directors for final approval. All applicants must comply with the FSP requirements as set forth in the Fiscal Agent Agreement (FSA) and sign that agreement as part of the application process.

The ACC Board of Directors has sole authority and discretion to approve, disapprove, modify or reconsider any application. The ACC and its officers, directors, employees and contractors are not liable for any act or omission which may occur during or as part of the FSP application and administrative process nor any subsequent course of dealings between any grantor and grantee. All participants in the FSP will be required to execute a waiver and release holding ACC and its officers, directors, employees and contractors harmless from all claims or suits.

The ACC Board of Directors reserves the right to cancel, modify or extend the FSP with or without notice at any time.
